In this Newsround Special De-Graft Mensah heads to Ghana, the country of his family's heritage, to find out about the legacy of the British Empire on the country and its people.
We made a 2 part animation on the Empire and Slave Trade, specifically telling the story of 13 year old Ottobah Cugoano - his capture on the Gold Coast and being sold into the slave trade and shipped to the West Indies.
We were delighted that this animation won another RTS Craft Award at the 2022 ceremony.
