In 1948 The Empire Windrush arrived in the UK, where many Caribbean people wanted to find work and start a new life.
Newsround asked us to animate the story of how they came to the UK and how their lives changed from there.
"Windrush - Finding My Family: A Newsround Special" follows Maya and Levi on their journey to the Caribbean islands to see where their granddads grew up and what they left behind.
All designed, drawn, built and animated at Made in Colour.
